What is your why for training your dog? or more importantly, what is your why for getting a dog in the first place?
When you can honestly answer that, you can then dig deep in to your training and make a full plan to move forward with, to help combat any issues you are having.
Owning and training a dog takes commitment. Make sure you honour that. Don’t expect your dog to just learn everything you ask, unless you are communicating clearly with your them.
Give rules, boundaries, corrections and praise. Make training a fun thing to do for both of you. Every aspect of training a dog can be fun, you just have to figure out how.
Do you go out to train when you are already angry from work or an argument etc? this is not a good time to be doing this, unless training shifts your thinking and emotion state to a positive one. Never take your frustration out on your dog.
If you need any help with trying to dig deep, then please do reach out.
