Today I embarked on a walk to start my preparations for my Yorkshire 3 peaks hike in July.
I took this time to listen to a couple of podcasts from some amazing dog trainers, so I could learn as I walk.
My aim this year is to learn as much as I can, from as many people as I can.
Whilst out on my walk, I think I must have told Harry to ‘get out of the f***ing boggy ditch’ a least 10 times! The dog came home smelling like pond life! and I’m sure, as I write tis, he still does!
We worked on a lot of ‘here’ work, so staying close as apposed to walking to heal. This dog loves to run off at 100 miles an hour when he is allowed to, although he recall is impeccable I must say! I don’t think his legs liked him so much when we got home and I’m pretty sure he may be a little stiff tomorrow. I did also take the other 3 with me as well, Mabel and Pepper where perfect as always, Elsie was very keen to get out and very vocal about it but was perfect once we got through the village.
Next week I am attempting a 20km walk (I might regret it)
Wish me luck! xx
