We got Rocky from a rescue, he’s a staffy cross and was found as a stray. Whilst they told us he was good with other dogs our experience on walks was telling us otherwise. Rocky would be very reactive and appeared quite aggressive. We even talked about getting him a muzzle! My husband did a few one on one sessions with Laura and progress was good. We were due to go on holiday and Laura suggested Rocky stayed with her for a week of targeted training.

Well… I don’t know what Laura did but the dog we waved goodbye to when leaving for holiday was not the dog we brought back home afterwards! Walks from this point we’re certainly more relaxed… we could even let him stop and have a good sniff with other dogs something we would have gone out of our way to avoid before.

Fast forward a a couple of years and we have even added to our brood.. a little frenchie who Rocky absolutely adores (don’t get me wrong.. they have their little disagreements as any siblings would). Obviously my first point of call was Laura initially for advice on how to introduce them, advice which totally worked and made the transition so easy and stress free, and then on to advice on how to train the puppy. We have absolute trust in Laura and her support, advice and training has been 100% spot on.

Review from Ollie. We took our Sprocker Spaniel to Laura’s Scent detection Course and he loved it! We learnt how to train our dog to search for specific objects based on a scent as well as how to watch our dog for his responses in a fun way. We did find out that our dog is a cheat and we had to take him out of the room when things were set up as he was watching VERY carefully, but the great advantage we found is that 30 minutes of Scent detection tires our pup out for longer than a 6-mile walk does. Absolutely recommend this for anyone with an active dog!

Laura was a great help to us when we first brought a rescued border collie into our family.  He had clearly not had the best start in life.  He is a lovely dog around the home but as he started to gain more confidence (he was completely shut down when he first came to us), he started to lash out at anything that scared him and we soon discovered that quite a lot of life was frightening for Brodie. 

Laura helped us to find a way through these problems.  She did some serious work with Brodie but she also did some serious work with us.  Brodie is never going to be a fully confident dog but at least we now know how to handle him so that he is not a problem.  Wags n woofs boarding care is also excellent.  We have never had any qualms in leaving our dogs (we now have two of them) with Laura.  We know they will be well looked after and they always come home happy!
